This vertical tube design was built specifically for continuous, high-throughput production of powdered metal and powdered ceramics. The cavity and power source configuration of AMVS yields high energy density to source powders for fast reactions and thermal treatment. A vertical design with reverse gas flow and sample mixing facilitates easy access to reaction gases and quick removal of by-product gases from the reaction chamber to produce end-products of uniformed compositions and properties. AMVS’s low energy consumption and high throughput propels the system to the top of its class in the production of powdered materials. AMVS is used throughout China for continuous production of VN, CrN and ferroalloys, such as SiFe-N, MnFe-N, MnN, CrN and CrFe-N.
